Scott Gregson was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (now the Chief Executive Officer) of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in 2020. In his role as the CEO, Scott leads the corporate teams and senior leaders to deliver important work of the agency under the strategic direction and decision making of the Commission. Scott is focussed on driving sustainable organisational change and ensuring the agency is responsive to the ever-changing economic and social environment, and nurturing the ACCC’s open and accountable culture. Scott has been with the ACCC since 1996 when he joined as a graduate and has spent much of his career leading enforcement divisions to protect competition in markets, and stop conduct that’s anti-competitive or harmful to consumers.
